When I envision the women of the 30s through the 60s, the image that typically comes to mind is that of extreme glamour. I think of Marilyn Monroe, the ultimate sex symbol, to the average housewife in her worn-in day dress. The fashion was bright, well-fitted, and utterly feminine. Even a trip to the supermarket called for you to look your very best. I have always had a fascination with the way women of the time had hair waved perfectly, the intricacies of the lingerie worn nearly every day, and the subtle, yet sultry sway of a woman in a wiggle dress. All women, no matter their status, exuding a special kind of effortless elegance.
I often think to myself how I wish this kind of glamorous, everyday wear would come back in style. I love the way vintage makes me feel - curve-hugging dresses, dainty gloves, intricate undergarments, corsets... I know I certainly am not the only one either. There is a great, big, beautiful world of vintage lover's just like me and even more so, many people who have never been exposed to it and don't know where to find it. That brings me to my vision...
